Video distribution.

Every television in the house fed from one rack, so sources live in a rack or closet rather than under the screens, and any room can watch anything.

What is video distribution?

One set of sources, shared. Streamers, tuners, and players sit in the equipment room, and matrix switching sends any of them to any television in 4K, with the remote in each room controlling it.

The scope.

  2. 02Televisions chosen, mounted, and concealed where you want them
  3. 03Sources racked centrally, out of the room
  4. 04One remote or app per room, laid out the same way in every room

Questions worth asking early.

Can different rooms watch different things?

Yes. Each television picks its own source, and any number of rooms can share one when you want the game on everywhere.

Do the televisions have to match?

No, but the mounts, the wiring, and the control should. We choose each screen for its room, then make them behave as one system.
